\"The<\/a>Tom and I love living in Bucks County, PA, with the natural beauty. The area is rife with art, cultural, and great food.\u00a0 We have great Adventures in Bucks County to share. \u00a0The summers are just wonderful\u00a0 with many free outdoor events. \u00a0We take advantage of outdoor and indoor concerts in the afternoons and evenings.\u00a0 Reasonably priced venues at $5-$20 for \"heron\"<\/a>professional and\u00a0Broadway-type productions are great\u00a0 cultural activities. \u00a0There are at least 5 venues weekly within 10 miles of our home.<\/p>\n

During the summer many venues offer free music<\/em><\/strong>\u00a0from our era.\u00a0This includes music by the Beatles, Elvis, Eagles, America, Van Morrison, James Taylor, The Everly Brothers, James Brown, to Frankie Valli and more!<\/p>\n

In Doylestown<\/h2>\n

Wednesdays at lunch time, <\/em>the Doylestown Courthouse offers\u00a0Brown Bag It with the Arts, Central Bucks Chamber of\u00a0Commerce<\/a>. \u00a0We have seen Irish dancing, pop, folk, and jazz performances there. \u00a0It’s a lovely environment\u00a0and a great opportunity to see local talent. \u00a0On summer\u00a0Wednesday evenings\u00a0<\/em>there are a\u00a0 free outdoor concerts. Doylestown Parks and Rec<\/a>, is a favorite.\u00a0 On Tuesdays, there are concerts at the Heritage Conservancy in the lovely gardens of Aldie Mansion.\u00a0\u00a0On Thursdays<\/em>,\u00a0Buckingham Township has free summer concerts<\/a> at Hansell Park from 7-9 PM. \u00a0Friday nights,\u00a0<\/em>The Market at DelVal College\u00a0<\/a>provides outdoor concerts with wine tasting, gourmet deli, and homemade ice cream.<\/p>\n

We are so lucky to have the James Michener Museum<\/a> in Doylestown, Pennsylvania. The Michener offers more than fabulous exhibitions, like the recent Rodin sculpture exhibit, and professional music, dance, and theatrical performances. We saw a fantastic Musicale-Fest at the Michener that featured the music of Lerner, Loesser, Lowe and Schwartz.\u00a0 Professional vocalists and performers were fantastic. It was only $10\/pp for museum members. The performance was so good that I signed up for the next one. The museum offers free tours with entrance fee. Generally there are at least 4 \u00a0exhibitions plus the Nakashima Reading Room.<\/p>\n

Adventures in Nature<\/h2>\n

If you prefer nature, another Adventure in Bucks County Pennsylvania not to miss is\u00a0Bowman’s Hill Wildflower Preserve <\/a>on River Road in New Hope, PA. \u00a0Tom and I go often month for an\u00a0Adventure in Bucks County to see what is in bloom and experience the wildlife – various birds, frogs, and the occasional snake.<\/p>\n

Tours are 2-3 PM Tuesday through Saturday. Tour subjects vary from the different local flower varieties to local medicinal plant history, and cycle of life – symbiotic relationships between insects, animals and trees, flowers and plants.<\/p>\n

Cultural Adventures<\/h2>\n

Adventures in Bucks County Pennsylvania\u00a0include\u00a0wonderful theaters. Oftentimes the actors have been on Broadway. \u00a0Theaters we can recommend include: Bucks County Playhouse<\/a>,\u00a0Bristol Riverside Theater<\/a>, Town and Country Players<\/a>, and for symphony music, people rave about Riverside Symphonia<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Bucks County has lots of farms that supply New York restaurants. \u00a0Stop\u00a0to buy fruits, vegetables, milk, and meat.<\/p>\n

I feel so lucky to reside in such beautiful and naturally rich countryside, and within 1-2 hours of\u00a0New York City and Philadelphia. \u00a0Visit Bucks County!<\/a><\/p>\n
