While it is far from the other Australia destinations with very few tourist areas, restaurant or hotels, we loved it for the scenery and wildlife both in the water and on land!! I hope you go. I did another post on this area if you want to see a bit more or the area.

I think you haven’t heard of it because Exmouth is so far from places most people visit. That’s what makes it special and pristine.

I hope you get there! It is remote so it isn’t on the usual Australia itinerary. With the interests you mention, my guess it that you will love it.

We have barely scratched the surface of Australia in past visits — both on our way to New Caledonia and then upon sailing back into Brisbane. Given your photos and descriptions, I am already in love and HAVE to visit. Snorkeling, yes please. Desert colors, sandy beaches to wander, wildlife viewing … oh my!
